Under 10 Division Five 29-11-2008
Played:
Luton Leagrave
Home League Match
OK, the oppositions challenging was somewhat strong, however this is football and a winter sport. I appreciate that we seemed a little intimidated as a result of such physical contact, however if we went out there with the intention to play as a team and put into practice what we have trained to do as demonstrated in recent matches; then it would have been a totally different game. As it stands this is by far one of the worst performances displayed by ALL players; with some exception to our goal keeping. It is questionable to continue training if we can’t even be bothered to put some effort into a match that a least resembles some of the training we have received. On another note, I would like to thank our referee at today’s match (Daniel), in his first experience in referring at this level. Although he was put to the test, especially by me, I would encourage him to pursue his interest in refereeing. Many Thanks.

Under 14s Division 4 26-10-2008
Played:
Memorial park
Home League Match
With two plyers carrying injuries into the match, one player ill, no substitutes and an inexperienced goalie our prospects had been dented before kick of. We competed well in the first half launching a number of attacks and defending well. The breakthrough came in the last minuter of the first half when Danny Gambrill met a half clearance which he smashed into the net to send us 1-0 up at half time. We continued to put pressure on memorial park in the second half and coped well with thier attacks with a fine display by all our defence and good passing and movement in the midfield James Lillico made good clearances with his fist and kicked the ball into the other half to set up our attacks quickly. Two more goals scored by Jack Ivory secured from narrow angles secured the points and our first win this season. Well done everyone.
Team Coach / Manager: Alan Elder

Under 9s Division 4 12-10-2008
Played:
AFC Kempston
Away League Match
Once again a big effort was put in by the whole team but sadly no goals were forth coming for Dunstable. Up against a strong Kempston strike force shots rained in on the Dunstable Colts goal. Lewis Black made some excellent saves in the first half. In the second half Chris Swinton took over in goal but found it just as hard to keep shots out. Lessons learnt in recent training sessions are being to show with some good periods of strong tackling and good passing taking place.
Team Coach / Manager: Adrian Spicer
